Company history

In 1910, William and Maybelle Nieman first arrived in Sandpoint, Idaho.  In 1920, William opened Palm Confectionary - a classic soda fountain and candy store.  William learned how to make candy while serving as a cook for the Navy.  Several years later, Maybelle added a floral shop to the business.  When Hud, William's son, returned to Sandpoint after traveling around the country playing music during the "Big Band" era, he dropped the soda fountain and confectionary portion of the business and added music.  This has been the basis of the company ever since.  Founded on a strong work ethic, quality products, and consistent service Nieman's Floral and Music will continue to serve the Sandpoint community for years to come.
